Strange idea... help please?

OK I have an idea where we start of with a sentence or so say here on the blog and then we finish the story through the comments and we could keep it going for ages and it would be really cool... or not but yeah so dramatic sentence to start and let's see what might happen?

Christie felt the knife slip from her fingers and suddenly she released how silent the room was.

She looked down at the fresh corpse on the floor and suddenly the events of the last ten minutes of her existence registered themselves in her brain as an expression of revulsion spread across her face.

"I... did that?" She whimpered. She fell to the floor and curled up.
Lizzy walked forward avoiding the carpets which was more drenched in blood "It wasn't your fault OK anyone asks he attacked you."

"We can't have any mystery surrounding what has happened here, we can't look suspicious," Lizzy asserted, "We have to call the police, okay?" Christie just nodded as Lizzy picked up the the phone to make the call. As soon as she was done she walked over to the radio and flicked it on just to have something to break the eerie silence. Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' meandered softly out of the speakers; it was a fitting lament for the dark deed that had been performed. Lizzy knelt beside Christie and tenderly comforted her as they listened in silence while they waited for the police to arrive.

There was the thunders knock that was typical of the police at the door and Lizzy got up to get the door.
She opened the door to find an old woman with an hair tight container in her hand "I don't suppose I could borrow some sugar?" She then started to barge her way in. "It is funny I thought I heard a mans voice coming from in here before but I never saw him leave"

"Uh.... you don't want to do that, Miss." Lizzy called after her as the old woman walked toward the body.

"Oh, honey, all the house designs are the same around here. I know my way to the kitchen, thanks again for allowing me to borrow some sugar."

"I never-"

"You know how shops are, always closed the moment you need something. I'm making a cake you see, for my granddaughters birthday party. Oh she is such a dear-"

"Miss, please!" Lizzy exclaimed, the old woman stopped in her tracts and turned towards the nervous young woman with her black beady eyes.

The woman stared at Lizzy for just enough time for it to become awkward, and when she finally spoke it was in a low whisper. "hmm... I thought as much" she said, without removing her gaze from Lizzy. Then, she took a small black notebook from the pocket of her beige mac and consulted what was written there for a moment before rushing back down the hallway and out of the front door.

Christie Looked up "What just happened?"
Lizzy blinked and before she could reply another Knock came at the door similar to the one from before. This time Christie came to out of curiosity it was like all the fear and self hatred over what she had done and was filled with a curiosity of what on earth had just happened.
She came to the door but saw the fluorescence of the policeman's jackets glow through the window and suddenly all memory of how to function left.

"Oh, God! Oh, God!" Christie panicked, her eyes darting around the room looking for an escape route.

"Christie!" Lizzy shouted, holding her shoulders. "What is it?"

"Its the police." She whispered. Lizzy nodded and looked down to her feet, inhaling a deep breath, she turned to the door.

"You go and calm down." She ordered, striding towards the door. "I'll go talk to them."

Another knock.

"All right, all right!" She shouted, having unlocked the door a few seconds later. Before her stood a policemen, dressed all in black, with a yellow high visability jacket on, too.

"Ma'am." He spoke, bowing only slightly but making the atmosphere far more akward than it had to be.
